Youth Group Back to School Bash – Sept. 21-22
The first couple weeks of school are great, but I'm sure you'd like a fun break from the homework! All middle school–high school youth are encouraged to be a part of this great event! We will gather at Grand View at 5pm on Friday, Sept. 21 for some pizza and soda. Then we will sing, dance and worship God together before breaking for games and spending the night here at the church. Self Awareness / Self Defense Class – Sept. 25, 6pm
You're never too old, nor too young, to learn how to stay safe in todays' changing society. Please join us for a class to learn safety measures and self defense techniques, taught by two black belt instructors. All men, women, kids, & adults are invited to attend - there will be something for everyone. Techniques will range from simple to more complex depending on what you're interested in. Old Fashioned Hymn Sing – Sept. 28, 2-4pm

Understanding the Times Conference – Sept.29, 8:30am-5pm
Understanding the Times is a live-streamed event that will be held free at Grand View UMC. Understand the times and current events according to the Bible. Hosted by Jan Markell (Understanding the Times Radio as heard on American Family Radio, 88.5) & featuring renowned Bible prophecy scholars and pastors. Come and go as your schedule allows. CROP Walk – Oct. 7, 1pm
CROP Hunger Walks are community-wide events sponsored by Church World Service and organized by local congregations & groups to raise funds to end hunger at home and around the world. Grand View has a team that walks in the CROP Hunger Walk each year. This year the event is on Sunday, Oct. 7, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Lunch is at Noon, registration & photos are at 12:30pm, and the walk begins at 1pm with the same route last year (to Murphy park & back).
Sign Up to Walk: Sign up on the table in the Grand View Gathering Space join the Grand View team to walk (approx. 4 miles).

UMW Holiday Fair – Oct.13 | 8:30am-1:30pm
Please join us for our annual United Methodist Women's Holiday Fair on Saturday, Oct. 13, from 8:30am-1:30pm. There will be handmade crafts, baked goods, books & puzzles, Grandma's Attic (a wide variety of gently used items), lunch and our famous fried bread! This is a fun day filled with great food and unique finds! Lunch served 11am-1pm: Chili, chicken noodle, and ham & bean soup, turkey & dressing sandwiches, sliced turkey, hot dogs, sloppy joe's, desserts, coffee & milk.
