Cell Groups & Small Groups
What is a Cell Group?
Cell Groups are specifically designed to help all participants grow and mature in the understanding, experience, and practice of the Christian faith. There are different aspects of a Cell Group: social, care, love, support, encouragement, and to know and be known. These aspects, or benefits, are produced naturally when the group focuses upon the primary activity of reading the same scripture daily, discussing it, praying for one another, and helping hold one another to deeper expectations.
Our Cell Groups are comprised of 12 or fewer people who pray for one another and meet together one hour each week. No sign-up is required for a cell group; simply follow the schedule below and show up to the group that seems like the best fit for you!
Each Cell Group follows the same daily Scripture reading, called Grand View Reads. Then, during their weekly meeting time, they share their experiences of the Scripture. Often on Sundays, Rev. Tom uses that week’s Scripture reading in the Sunday sermon.

Other Small Groups
Women of Faith Group
Women of Faith is a small group for women of all ages and stages of faith who come together each week to connect, grow, encourage one another, and share life together. There are currently two Women of Faith groups meeting each week: Tuesdays at 3:30 PM and Wednesdays at 4:30 PM.
Right now, the groups are reading Emotionally Healthy Relationships together. Each week, they discuss what they’ve been learning and encourage one another as they put those lessons into practice in their everyday lives. No sign-up is required! If you’re just jumping in, don’t worry about being behind. The women will catch you up, welcome you with open arms, and be glad you’re there.
Methodist Marriage Class
Methodist Marriage Class is part of our Adult Sunday School program and meets Sundays at 9:30 AM—the same time our kids are in Sunday School. It’s a great opportunity for couples to spend that time growing together, then come together as a family for worship afterward.
Led by long-time Grand View members Erin & Kelly Haven, this class explores the highs and lows of marriage, offering practical encouragement and faith-based guidance for keeping Jesus at the center of your marriage.
No sign-up is required—simply show up and you’ll be welcomed! And, if you’re not married…yet, you and your significant other are absolutely invited to join.
Methodist Roots Class
Methodist Roots Class is part of our Adult Sunday School program and meets Sundays at 9:30 AM.
This small group focuses on the Methodist Faith, what we believe, and why we believe it. Whether your Methodist Faith knowledge is extensive or minimal, this is the perfect group for you - to either share your knowledge and insight, or to be the one receiving it.
No sign-up is required—simply show up and you’ll be welcomed!
