Intimacy Through Prayer

In Week 7 of Discipled for Life, we explore the gift and practice of prayer through Jesus’ teaching in Gospel of Matthew 6. Prayer is more than asking God for help—it is ongoing communication that builds intimacy with Him, shapes our hearts, and aligns our lives with His will. Jesus teaches us to pray honestly, humbly, and faithfully, trusting that God already knows our needs and cares deeply for us. Whether through thanksgiving, confession, intercession, or petition, prayer draws us closer to God and reminds us that we are never alone. As disciples, prayer is not merely something we do in times of trouble; it is a daily practice that transforms us to think, live, and love more like Jesus.
