Shameless

In the beginning, Adam and Eve were naked and unashamed—fully known, fully vulnerable, and living in close relationship with God. Then sin entered the story. Suddenly there was shame, hiding, blame, and separation. In Week 3 of Origin Story, we explore what Genesis teaches us about shame and the ways it still shapes our lives today. Too much shame can leave us feeling unworthy and afraid, while too little can keep us from recognizing the hurt our choices cause. But shame doesn’t have to have the final word. Through Jesus, forgiveness and restoration are possible. God invites us out of hiding and back into relationship with Him, helping us become more childlike—humble, trusting, authentic, and dependent on Him—and reminding us that we are His children and part of His family.
