The What & Why of Good Friday - Good Friday 2026

On Good Friday, everything changed. The same crowd that shouted “Hosanna!” cried out, “Crucify Him.” Disciples scattered in fear, and Jesus—the Savior—was beaten and crucified. But this message goes beyond what happened to ask why it matters. Jesus became the final sacrifice, not so we could earn God’s love, but so we could receive forgiveness, freedom, and new life. The cross invites each of us to reflect: What needs to change in me? What am I holding onto that’s keeping me from God? Good Friday isn’t just about remembering the cost of the cross—it’s about responding to it. Will we stay the same, or will we move from where we are to where God is calling us?
