Still the Same

In Week 2 of Discipled for Life, we explore the calling of the first disciples in the Gospel of Luke, chapter 5, and see that following Jesus is personal, disruptive, and life-changing. When Jesus stepped into Peter’s boat, He invited more than belief—He called for a transformed life and a lifelong commitment. This message reminds us that discipleship happens as we intentionally put ourselves in positions for God to work—through Scripture, prayer, community, and service—and that He equips and empowers ordinary people for His mission. The invitation is still the same today: follow Jesus, be transformed, and help others get in the boat.
